Course Description:

CIS140 Introduction to Computer Science

This online course is uniquely designed to demonstrate basic programming and problem solving skills through the use of desktop videos. Students use videos to complete labs and coursework. Kristen Sparrow has utilized the Kaltura software to provide students with weekly course announcements as well as video explanations on demand. Through the use of Kaltura analytic features, she has been able to track who is watching and for how long. The analytic data has helped assess student engagement and improve retention.
