Information Literacy in the Age of Alt-Facts
Join the conversation as a science professor and research librarian team up to scaffold students’ skills in information literacy: from reading scientific papers to analyzing sources for credibility and bias. Students are supported by both the instructor and librarian in Blackboard. Positive results are emerging from this collaboration; we observe the quality of sources selected and students’ reflections of the evaluative process. Best practices in embedded library services will also be shared.
